About Us
Our Mission
The National Association of Isiekenesi People in the USA (NAIP) envisions a vibrant, self-sustaining, and prosperous Isiekenesi community where every individual has access to the fundamental pillars of human dignity and advancement. Driven by a commitment to homeland development and philanthropy, NAIP directs its collective resources toward transforming lives through targeted healthcare missions, the revitalization of dilapidated school infrastructures to ensure quality education, and the implementation of reliable clean water projects. By bridging the gap between its global diaspora and local needs, NAIP strives to alleviate poverty, eradicate preventable health crises, and empower the next generation of Isiekenesi youth to thrive in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.
Our Story
The National Association of Isiekenesi People (NAIP) USA, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established to promote unity, preserve culture and values, and foster social harmony among people of Isiekenesi origin living in the United States.
The vision for NAIP began in 1996 in Maryland, USA, when a group of Isiekenesi indigenes came together with the shared goal of forming an association that would strengthen community bonds and support the development of their hometown. Although little progress was made in the first two years, the foundation had been laid for something meaningful.
In 1998, a formal meeting was held in New York City, where the organization was officially named NAIP. During that meeting, four individuals were appointed to lead the organization and draft a constitution that would guide its operations and membership. Membership is open to individuals born to, or married to, an Isiekenesi person.
Since its inception, NAIP has organized biennial conventions aimed at raising funds for charitable and developmental projects within the Isiekenesi community. These initiatives focus on educational empowerment, healthcare improvement, economic growth, and social development.
Over the years, NAIP has successfully supported several impactful community projects, including:
- Reconstruction of the Isiekenesi Community Center, High School, and Hospital Complex.
- Development of a Community Security Outfit.
- Installation of Solar Energy Systems.
- Erosion Control Projects.
- Medical Mission Projects.
Through these efforts, the organization continues to improve access to quality education, healthcare services, clean water, clean energy, environmental safety, and overall community well-being.
We hope our work has inspired generosity and we respectfully invite you to join in our shared commitment to community development through your sponsorship and support, helping us create significant and lasting impacts in the lives of many.
